very interesting concept, but I feel like you don't always get enough information per shout to justify the 8 second cooldown, especially since revealing a section of ground doesn't always reveal whether there are spikes on it. It also makes trying to hit a specific spot by bouncing the shout very tedious, especially when trying to make small adjustments to the angle.
Thanks for your opinion! The cooldown is actually 3 seconds long not 8. Without proper precision aiming, the game would be too easy, so that's my justification for it. About the spikes reveal thingy - I actually want to change this, as this was not an intentional game feature but rather a logical code error. I just didn't have the time to fix it, so I called it a feature. I might update the game later on and change it...
Adding 3 seconds cooldown to the shout mechanic was necessary to make the player actually try to memorize the uncovered part of the map rather than spam shout. Making it shorter would make the game less risky. Btw the cooldown's length is the same as a full tile disappear, so changing one value would directly change the difficulty ;)
